How long is the strap?

Most crossbody straps in the range adjust between roughly 22 and 47 inches, which covers wearing the bag high across the chest and low at the hip. Each piece lists its own strap range where the maker publishes it.

Will a phone fit in the front pocket?

On the models with a front zip pocket, yes, including the larger phones. The pocket is sized for a phone and a card, not a phone and a wallet.

Are they water resistant?

The nylon is. Rain on a walk beads and wipes off, and a long downpour will eventually get through the zip. Nothing here is waterproof.
